"The overnight test — I use it with clients all the time, like concentrated stock positions, second homes, family cabins, legacy assets. Hey, let's pretend somebody sold that overnight. You woke up in the morning and the cash was in your account and the family cabin is no longer yours, but there's one just like it for sale. You've changed the default position. In all of my years asking that question, I've only had two or three people say they'd buy it back."

"Let's just pretend you have 10 units of energy to make a decision and then live with it... A lot of people will spend eight of those units researching the decision before they make it... And Ann was like, no, I make the decision and then spend all my units making it the right one... two units on researching the decision, make it, and then spend eight on making it the right one, which I love."

"The number of touch points data — I really found it useful, and I think I would still do this if I were to start a firm again. It was 12-4-1. A monthly touch point, four times a year more in-depth — probably a phone call — and one of those quarterly things was in person. If you did nothing else and replied rapidly, you would be massively ahead on a competitive level."
