"I'm mainlining as my computer an operating system called Omakub. It's a version of Linux started by a good friend of mine David Heinemeier Hansson as a sort of new passion project. My operating system is entirely malleable. I can open any new terminal, open an agent and give it my wish for anything about this operating system to be different and it will be different afterwards. It's my operating system — it's a N=1 piece of software now that just does everything I want in exactly the way I want."

"Most of us who use cloud code use it through Ghostty on a Mac or usually Ghostty is a like a terminal application which is like perfect right like and it's like it's such a weird thing to have spent your time doing this but like um the author chose to uh after he sold his company to by hand make a piece like a like a perfectly crafted piece of software that he thought needed to exist and now everyone agrees with him on that it needed to exist because he built like everything on it."

"We built a lot of Shopify in Ruby, which is famous for its poetry mode. Poetry mode means you can write Ruby that's essentially English. You can read some really really well-built Ruby code as if it's telling you a story about what the system is actually like and how it works."
