Joe Rogan Experience #2570 - Mystery Boys
Joe Rogan hosts Mystery Boys podcasters Kurt Metzger and Duncan Trussell for a loose, comedic conversation about cover-ups, conspiracies, AI, surveillance and creative work. Metzger pushes wild theories while Rogan and Trussell often push back.
The gist
-
Rogan calls The Strange Death of Vince Foster a great book, but Metzger says a guest claimed its author, Chris Ruddy, helped cover the case up.
-
Rogan says he keeps social media to about an hour a day, mostly educational YouTube, and calls his zero-screen-time days the best.
-
Trussell recommends The Dropout, the Hulu series on Elizabeth Holmes, and the podcast, praising Amanda Seyfried; Rogan dislikes invented private dialogue in dramatizations.
-
Trussell says Midnight Gospel worked because in-house artists collaborated freely, which he doubts AI can copy, though it could speed up technical tasks.
-
Rogan and Trussell discuss geofencing, police misuse of Flock cameras and Robert Epstein's search research; Rogan says he's thinking of getting a flip phone.
